Alucast is proud of its reputation for its willingness to take on difficult or challenging jobs. On numerous occasions so called ” problem jobs ” have been undertaken with the result that, after development what had previously been excessive reject rates have been reduced drastically resulting in cost savings.

We have the technical expertise to develop a product from the initial prototype sand casting through to multi impression full production, this can be applied to both gravity and high pressure die casting processes.

Case Study

The company has designed and developed tooling which allowed a casting previously only manufactured in sand to be produced as a gravity die variant. The tooling weighed in excess of 10 tonnes and the casting over 300 kilos, which we believe was arguably the largest gravity die casting ever produced.
