Alucast offers a range of services in addition to its cast products.  Since the early 2000’s the company has strived to add advanced technologies to further the development of complex lightweight castings.  In addition, working with Aston University in Birmingham, the business has modified its business model to embrace servitization.

The additional services can be supplied in the following areas:

• Casting simulation using Magmasoft casting simulation to improve tool design, casting integrity & speed to manufacture
• Crack detection using dye penetrant testing for cracks caused by residual stress in components thereby causing structural integrity issues on assemblies
• Heat treatment using our onsite plant.  The automotive grade heat treatment ensures castings are stress relieved and have enhanced properties required for modern aluminium casting application

All of the above are offered to our customers should they have these additional requirements for castings they may have.
